Sometimes, it’s hard to just sit back and be content and satisfied in the present. We’re constantly looking for the next best opportunity or seeking to improve our current circumstances. But failing to recognize the amazing things that are right in front of us, can cause us to be in such a hurry for change that we take things for granted.

Oh, discouragement - it sneaks up on you like a thief in the night. If you don’t do something about it, before you know it, it will have completely stolen all of your ambition and motivation, leaving you uninspired and complacent.

Many years ago, I remember watching a reality television show where one of the characters was always in conflict with other people on the show. Whenever she would have a negative encounter with a castmate, she would often repeat to herself , “don’t let anyone dull your sparkle”.

Giving yourself the freedom to take risks is not an easy task. However, staying within the confines of your comfort zone can limit your ability to realize God’s plans for your life.
